The role of battery power on the Road to Zero

In its “Road to Zero” strategy, the UK government has outlined an ambitious plan to make ultra-low emission cars at least 50 percent of new-car sales by 2030. Battery power will play a big role in achieving this ideal, and therefore, partnerships between existing players and new entrants, as well as different types of organizations, from battery manufacturers to automotive companies, are becoming vital. At the same time, innovation is required to drive the improved performance and price necessary for subsidy-free, mass-market adoption of EVs.
